Echoes from Re Website!!

So… I am making an OC website (again)!! ❤️ 

This project was formerly “The Ghostly Fables”, but is now nicely renamed, “Echoes from Re”.

My OC website and OC world is a collaborative effort with my darling lovey dovey, CrossKrow since about 2018!!

Commonly, I make art and brainstorm small interactions between characters, and CrossKrow is able to add storytelling complexity and fit my spontaneous ideas into the story and the overall world. Sometimes it is the other way around!

✮ Overall website focus:

A separate place online, dedicated to host visual references of my original characters and their stories. Mainly to be able to refer back to when looking up visual references of characters and places when drawing them.

These characters have lived between the conversations between CrossKrow and I for many many years, and I feel I am at the point of wanting to do something more with them. So this website is for that too.

Also, to have a place to link my characters to when posting art and general Ghostly Fables projects with them. ❤️ 

✮ Current status:

• Designing chibi designs of each Ghostly Fables character to add to the character landing page - “The Locals”

• Creating and linking a character page for each newly added character

• Update their current lore via text

• Uploading the currently made visual references for each newly added character page

✮ So far:

• DONE: Created a default template for (locals) characters and (neighborhoods) places pages

• DONE: Finished and published all the original Neighborhoods to the website

• DONE: Published 11 character pages, bare bones

• WANT: For character pages, I want to make new character reference sheets for each character and a few secret visual references in the works

• WANT: Add a relationship infographic for each character page, use chibis and colored lines with a key, as indicators.

• WANT: Update 2 new Neighborhood art for all the original Neighborhoods

• WANT: Create & Update the newly created Neighborhoods & Characters

• WANT: A dedicated email newsletter for the website on updates! Also updates on any Ghostly Fables - related projects !

✮ My current mentality & focus: Do what feeeeels good right now.

This is a passion project filled with love. If I were to push myself to do things “in order” instead of what I want to work on in the moment, I most likely will end up dropping this project and burn myself out from expectations and self-inflicted pressures.

So right now, I am doing what feels good and feels easy, considering this is also a big project that can take me years to finish (especially considering I am working on this as a side-project on top of my other responsibilities and art desires).

Edit: All pages that have been published are still in the works! I want to upload all the material CrossKrow and I have made for this personal love project throughout the years!!
